Missoula Butterfly House & Insectarium our 2022 Q2 Cheers for Charity Recipient

Draught Works co-owner Paul Marshall poses with past employee Nicole Toone and Glenn MarangeloBy: Nickolette Lannan – On Wednesday, a crew from Draught Works had the opportunity to celebrate the Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium, a local non-profit organization that we hold VERY near and dear to our hearts.

In 2019, Glenn and Jen embarked on their biggest, buggiest adventure yet; fundraising to build a monumental facility at the Missoula Fairgrounds with enough room to house an array of exotic butterflies, plants, and insects, and educate the greater public about the tiny creatures we often cohabitate with. We stopped by during their annual supporters picnic to commemorate another year of successful fundraising, and construction being well underway for their new shared facility with the Missoula Weed District and Healthy Acres Healthy Communities Foundation!

For the past five years Draught Works has proudly supported and encouraged Jen & Glenn Marangelo to chase their dreams of opening a state of the art facility in Missoula to ignite an admiration for the insect world and broaden local educational opportunities for kiddos and adults alike. Now that the walls are up, it’s time to band together to FILL THE HOUSE with an array of exotic arthropods for our whole state to enjoy when they open their doors sometime next year! As perpetual advocates for a strong sense of community, we’ve always believed in their vision to inspire deeper connections with one another and with nature. This year, as part of Missoula Gives, Draught Works challenged the community to step up and support Missoula Butterfly House in a successful $2,000 matching challenge as part of our quarterly Cheers for Charity Award.

Join us on Wednesday, July 13th from 5-8PM for another Bug Buddy Meet and Greet in the Draught Works taproom as we celebrate the continued success and push to raise the final 1% of funds needed to fill the Missoula Butterfly House & Insectarium!
